Terms of Use

These conditions govern every visit, search, and use of Fresno County Criminal History. Accessing the website means the visitor accepts them. Anyone who does not agree must stop using the service.

NO FCRA USE. Fresno County Criminal History is private and has no government affiliation. It and its advertising partners do not supply consumer reports for credit, employment, insurance, housing, or another Fair Credit Reporting Act purpose. The service provides reference information about Fresno County and California records. It is neither a private investigation firm nor a consumer reporting agency.

1. What This Website Is

This private reference service is independent of all public agencies. It neither stores official records nor retrieves, certifies, corrects, or files them for a visitor.

Its information directs readers to the Fresno County Sheriff, Superior Court, California Department of Justice, California Megan's Law Website, and optional outside research tools. California Public Records Act access under Government Code sections 7920.000 through 7931.000 remains subject to exemptions, and Penal Code section 11105 restricts dissemination of DOJ repository records.

2. Rules for Using This Site

Use is conditioned on an agreement not to:

  • Violate a federal, California, or local law
  • Threaten, stalk, intimidate, or harass another person
  • Use content for employment, housing, credit, or insurance decisions
  • Enter systems or data without authorization
  • Deploy a scraper, bot, or other automated collection tool
  • Disrupt performance or interfere with another visitor's access

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

No information obtained here or through a linked tool may be used to harass, stalk, threaten, intimidate, or unlawfully discriminate. California Penal Code section 290.46 restricts misuse of California Megan's Law Website information and allows criminal or civil consequences. Registry data supports public safety awareness, not vigilantism or retaliation.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

This service is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and creates no credit report, background report, or consumer report. Neither it nor its advertising partners offers a tool designed for an FCRA-regulated decision. Visitors must not use site or linked-tool information to:

  • Make an employment decision
  • Evaluate a housing applicant
  • Assess credit or insurance eligibility
  • Determine eligibility for a license, permit, or public benefit
  • Carry out any other purpose regulated by the FCRA

A legally regulated screening need must be handled by an authorized, FCRA-compliant provider and any required official California channel.

5. No Legal Advice

General explanations of Fresno County record access are not legal advice. Only a licensed California attorney can advise how a charge, warrant, conviction, sealing law, or expungement rule applies to a particular matter.

6. No Warranties

All content and functions are supplied "as is" and without a promise that:

  • Information will always be complete, correct, or current
  • Access will remain continuous or uninterrupted
  • Pages will contain no error, defect, or security weakness
  • An outside provider's search result will be complete or accurate

Charges, dispositions, access rules, seals, and California relief orders can change a record. Gaps and delays are possible, and no statement here replaces confirmation from the originating office.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Links may open government, court, legal-service, or private-provider websites controlled by others. Their operators determine content, availability, privacy practices, and charges. Review the destination's terms before using it.

8. Intellectual Property

Fresno County Criminal History or its content partners own the site's text, graphics, logos, and code. Copying, adapting, publishing, or distributing protected material requires prior written permission.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the site and its operators are not liable for losses arising from use of its content, functions, or an outside service reached through a link.

10. Indemnification

A user agrees to defend and hold the operators harmless from claims caused by that user's conduct or breach of these terms, including reasonable legal costs where the law permits.

11. Governing Law

California law governs these terms. Any dispute connected with the website must be brought in a court with proper jurisdiction in California.

12. Changes to These Terms

Revised terms may be posted when services or legal requirements change. A revision becomes effective when published on this page.

13. Cutting Off Access

Access may be limited or terminated, with or without notice, when necessary to protect the service or enforce these conditions.

14. Severability

If one provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue. The affected language will be limited only as much as required.

15. Questions

Questions about these conditions may be sent through the Contact page.
